Transportation 2012-2013
For the 2012-2013 school year, we will drive StoneBridge's own 15-passenger van, factory-fitted with an electronic stability control (ESC) system to ensure safety. We are thankful to have Mr. Thomas serving in his third year as our driver.
Who drives the StoneBridge bus?
Our bus driver, Donald O. Thomas, is a retired US Navy Chief and police officer. He served for 21 years in the US Navy and for 15 years as a police officer for the Virginia Port Authority. Now, Mr. Thomas believes he has been called to serve SBS families by operating the school bus. Mr. Thomas has been married to “the love of his life,”
Avlonia, for 38 years. The Thomas's currently reside in Portsmouth, and have two grown children, Dawn and Kevin. They attend Holyway Temple of Faith in Portsmouth, where Mr. Thomas serves as a deacon.
Transportation Fees
All bus service requires a contract or a ticket. Contracts and bus tickets are available in the business office; tickets can also be purchased directly from the driver.
