Christian Heritage Day November 22
For this year's Christian Heritage Day, StoneBridge Lower School students will be celebrating Plimoth Plantation.
Sabbath service begins at 8:35 a.m. Student activities and a Thanksgiving feast will follow. Dismissal is at noon
for all students. Children should dress either as Pilgrims or Native Americans. (Adults are welcome to dress-up too!)
Christian Heritage Day is a highlight of the children's year, but it requires many hands. If you would be interested
in volunteering, please contact Kara Fox at email@example.com.
Lower School to the Ballet December 6
On Friday, December 6, Lower School students in grades K4-5th will be attending A Storyland Christmas ballet presented by Masterworks Performing Arts Company at Regent University. This production will be a wonderful way to expose students to the fine arts and prepare their hearts to celebrate the birth of Christ.
Christmas Program December 9, 6:30 p.m.
The night Jesus was born, the angels sang: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace to all people!" And since that night, people around the world have found their own way to celebrate the birth of Christ.
This year's Christmas program is entitled "Christmas Around the World." Songs include traditional Christmas carols in the the musical styles of their countries of origin, including: "Joy to the World," "Betelehemu" (a Nigerian Christmas song), and the Ukranian "Carol of the Bells." Our Wind and Strings Instrumentalists will be performing as well as students in grades K4-5 and the Upper School Combined Chorus.
December 19 & 20, 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.
Spotlight is a showcase performance that features nineteen 6th-12th grade performers in dozens of scenes and musical numbers. Musical theatre lovers will enjoy numbers from shows like The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. While classical theatre fans will appreciate selections from Oscar Wilde, Shakespeare, Euripides and many others.
Whether you want to show your support for our talented student performers, or are looking for a sampling of many different theatre genres all in one night, Spotlight is sure to be an exciting show for the family!
