Week 1: June 7-11, “Welcome to Summer!”
“Welcome to Summer!” includes many aspects of summer fun, including the beach, camping, and picnic lunches. Activities include beach ball games, hula hoops, bubbles, firefly and watermelon crafts, and sprinkler fun! Religious themes deal with finding joy and contentment in the Lord.
Week 2: June 14-18, “Sing Praise!”
In “Sing Praise!” we will use our unique voices to sing praise and make joyful noises unto the Lord! We will learn different singing styles and songs from around the world. Activities include writing our own songs with lyrics and performing in a concert! Religious themes deal with different styles and ways we can give praise to God using our voices.
Week 3: June 21-25, “Under the Sea!”
“Under the Sea” is about the ocean and everything in it! We will dive in and discover all the life hiding under the ocean’s surface. Activities include “discovering” new ocean life and uncovering the secrets of the deep blue! Religious themes deal with Genesis and how God created all living creatures, both on land and under the sea!
Week 4: June 28-July 2, “America the Beautiful!”
“America the Beautiful” is all about the 4th of July and being proud to be an American. We will learn about and re-enact some of the significant historical stories that took place leading up to July 4, 1776. Activities include firework crafts, patriotic music, a 4th of July barbeque, and a parade! Religious themes deal with the pursuit of religious freedom, which played a huge role in the birth of our great nation.
Week 5: July 5-9, “STEM Challenge! – Part 1”
Week 6: July 12-16, “STEM Challenge! – Part 2”
The “STEM Challenge” theme runs for 2 weeks. However, campers may attend either or both weeks. Campers will use critical thinking skills to solve problems in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Activities include building catapults and gumdrop bridges, decoding clues for scavenger hunts, making our own working thermometers, and even coding our own games on Kodable! Religious themes deal with doing our work with all our hearts because everything we do is for the Lord.
Week 7: July 19-23, “Make a Joyful Noise!”
In “Make a Joyful Noise!” we will do just that! We will learn different instrumental musical styles from around the world. Activities include writing our own songs with various instruments and performing in a concert! Religious themes deal with different styles and ways we can give praise to God using our musical talents.
Week 8: July 26-30, “It’s a Jungle Out There!”
“Under the Sea” is all about the jungle and all the creatures living in it! We will go on a sound safari and learn about all the sounds in the jungle! Activities include learning about the ecosystems in the jungle and uncovering the secrets that are hidden deep within. Religious themes deal with Genesis and how God created all living creatures.
Week 9: August 2-6, “Lights! Camera! Action!”
In “Lights! Camera! Action!” we will explore the theatre! We will learn theatre terms and how to follow stage directions. Activities will include improv workshops and writing and performing skits for each other! Religious themes deal with the way God writes a special story through each of our lives!
Week 10: August 9-13, “Superhero Training!”
“Superhero Training!” is all about the famous superheroes we know and love, and maybe some we’ve never heard of. We will find the “super powers” hidden inside all of us and explore how we can use those powers to help and care for others. Religious themes deal with the Superheroes of the Bible, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, and more!
